Kit Siang: Malaysians must respect all religions, but 10-year sentence over FB insult excessive

The DAP adviser was referring to a Facebook user who was sentenced to 10 years and 10 months jail by the Kuching Sessions Court, after admitting that he had insulted Islam and the Prophet Muhammad.

Luckily it was hanging or firing squad. Seems everyone has an agenda rather fighting for what is right or wrong. LKS has nothing to do so he want to stir the racial card by looking as he is championing the issue. PH leaders so far only fooled me & others on all the promises.

When some one insulted Islam & Prophet everyone kept quiet and once the sentenced meted out start crying obsessive & etc. PH Leaders not only blind but dumb. Why on the 1st place you insult? More & more hatred coming towards PH with all kind of funny comments & actions. phbuckup

Why didn't disclose the person name? What he said? Is asking non-muslim paying jizya not disrespect(insult)& undermining others religion? What is the basis of the Civil court verdict? Blasphemy is death penalty by Islamic law but shouldn't the religion being evaluated?can it?

What is the insult? Who is the person being convicted? Is this gomen scam to enslave people for free community service?

The religion Ayah Pin's sky kingdom kill nobody but being destroyed completely by government. Should government being charge for insult and persecute others religious belief? Although I never belief in Sky Kingdom but shouldn't I respect others who belief?

What is the difference between religion& cult? Why Ayah Pin Sky kingdom being punish, isn't it a religion too? I never belief Sky kingdom but shouldn't I respect others religion? Isn't moral compass shall be basis to evaluate a religion? Why religion can not be critics?

Contempt of court. The decision was made by the judiciary and DAP lawmakers should learn to uphold and respect the law.

I am not condoning the disrespect shown when a religion is condemned or insulted but let’s take a lead from the advise of the Prophet himself or else chaos is what will be left with.

I hope PDRM and the courts rule fairly and equally if other races' religion and nationality is questioned by any individual, regardless religion or race.

This is a court ruling based on civil law or penal code right? Can we criticize a court decision? Its not contempt of court? Sorry if im wrong, not an expert
