BRUNEI, March 27 (Borneo Bulletin/ANN) -- Brunei Darussalam has confirmed five more COVID-19 infections, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 114.

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar provided information on these new cases at a press conference yesterday, stating, “Case 110 is a 21-year-old local woman who flew back to the country from the United Kingdom on March 23, on flight BI004 in seat 35E. She developed a fever and a sore throat on March 20.

“Case 112 is a 51-year-old woman who has links to cases 73, 80, 88, 101, 108, 109, 111 and 114. She does not have any recent history of travel abroad,” the minister said. Case 113 is a 20-year-old woman, who is the daughter of Case 103. She does not have any recent history of travel abroad, and began to experience a fever and headache on March 22.“Case 114 is a 50-year-old woman who has links to cases 73, 80, 88, 101, 108, 109 and 112. She does not have any recent history of travel abroad. An initial test on March 20 was negative, and she was in quarantine by then. She was tested again on March 24, after the confirmed case of 101 within the same cluster.
