In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, it said the contract is for a period of three years from the date of the acceptance.

Bhd's 51%-owned BHIC Bofors Asia Sdn Bhd has accepted a RM15.72mil contract from the Ministry of Defence for the supply and delivery of spares, maintenance and training for the Royal Malaysian Navy's Bofors 57MM/L70 gun.

BHIC Bofors Asia is a joint venture company between BHIC Defence Technologies Sdn Bhd - a wholly-owned subsidiary of Boustead Penang Shipyard Sdn Bhd, which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the BHIC - and BAE Systems Bofors Holdings Sdn Bhd."Further, Rozi Baharudin is a Director of BHIC and BBA and Ahmad Fazril Mohd Fauzi being the Chief Financial Officer of BHIC is a Director of BBA.

"Save for the interest of BHIC in BBA, none of the directors or substantial shareholders of the Company, or persons connected with them have any interest, direct or indirect, in the LOA," said BHIC.
