The Keystone pipeline plans to move oil from Canada’s province of Alberta to Nebraska.
The words “Rescind Keystone XL pipeline permit” appeared on a list of executive actions likely scheduled for the first day of Biden’s presidency on Wednesday, according to the report. Biden’s transition team did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the report. A spokesman for Canadian Natural Resources Minister Seamus O’Regan referred queries to the office of Kirsten Hillman, Canada’s ambassador to Washington. The project, which would move oil from the province of Alberta to Nebraska, had been slowed by legal issues in the US.
Should Biden’s administration abrogate the Keystone XL pipeline permit, Alberta will work with TC to pursue all legal avenues available, Kenney said on Twitter.
