The trial against former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak and 1MDB ex-president Arul Kanda Kandasamy over the alleged tampering of the state fund's audit report will commence in November.The Kuala Lumpur High Court fixed the joint trial to take place from Nov 18 to Nov 29, as well as from Jan 13 to Jan 17 next year.
High Court judge Mohamed Zaini Mazlan made the ruling this morning after both counsels of the accused agreed to have a joint trial.N Sivananthan appeared for Arul, while Najib was represented by Muhammad Shafee Abdullah.Both Arul and Najib were present before the latter proceeded to another court for the criminal trial involving SRC International Sdn Bhd.
