Be responsible road users, JPJ tells drivers ahead of Hari Raya celebration

KUALA LUMPUR: With the Hari Raya celebration just around the corner, the Road Transport Department calls on the public and public transport drivers to be responsible and safe while on the road.

Lokman said this to reporters during a press conference at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan, here, on Monday before doing inspections on several buses leaving Kuala Lumpur for other states in conjunction with the Hari Raya celebration. “A driving ban was also issued on six bus drivers who failed the urine test screening out of 244 bus drivers.

“JPJ will also suspend the driver's licence under Section 36 of Act 333 after verification extension obtained from the National Anti-Drugs Agency.”
