KUALA LUMPUR: Almost nine million Covid-19 vaccine booster shots have been administered in the country as at 11.59pm on Thursday (Jan 13), said Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

He expects the number to surpass 10 million next week as the government was gearing up its effort to encourage more people to take the booster vaccine.

Citing Sarawak as an example, Khairy said the state recorded daily cases exceeding 3,000 before it started its booster programme in October.
