Night clubs have been running rampant in Kuala Lumpur. But it seems the ones in Kompleks Wilayah, Jalan Dang Wangi were forcibly shut down after police

Four night clubs were raided by the Bukit Aman CID police yesterday in Kompleks Wilayah. The night clubs had allegedly been illegally running striptease acts, with the customers comprising of Bangladesh and Pakistan nationals.Police conducted the raid around 3pm after receiving information about happenings at the complex, which had allegedly been taking place for about four months to a year.

Customers, comprising of 71 foreign men and eight local men were investigated, alongside 34 women who worked at the night clubs, either as a guest relation officer or as a dancer. 'We detained 37 individuals for violating Immigration rules and regulations,' Fadil added. This reportedly included two of the clubs' managers, one employee as well as 34 patrons.

The operators of the nightspots are allegedly all Bangladeshi businessmen. They reportedly hired girls to wear Saris and dance to Bollywood music on stage from 7pm to 7am. Customers could also throw 'money' at the girls, which were sample RM50 banknotes exchanged at the counter for real notes. 'If a high amount is thrown, the women would take off some clothes off to please the customer,' Fadil said.Netizens have been mostly pleased and praising the Bukit Aman police's work.

Well, kudos to the Bukit Aman police for doing what is necessary. Hopefully they will continue cracking down on such cases in the future.
