The RTÉ star announced over the weekend that his daughter Jessica had become a first time mother. She and her husband Conor chose Nora as the baby's middle name, after Marty's beloved mother.
"Jessica is a primary school teacher and there’s an instinct in her. She knows what she’s doing. They’ll be fine. He said: "It’s incredible. We go to Eurovision every year wondering, but this year Bambie has had such an impact. "We had a great little song last year and you question what’s going on. We’re a small island, we’ve all the usual excuses, but it doesn’t make sense.
"I was delighted with myself working alongside Larry Gogan. I will never forget it. I’ve been to all sorts of unusual places, Azerbaijan being one of them.
