Ireland weather: Met Eireann issue thunderstorm warning for 15 counties

Met Eireann have issued a thunderstorm warning for 15 counties today with horrid weather set to strike. and will last until 8am on Tuesday morning.

The forecasters said: "Scattered thunderstorms today and tonight, with lightning, hail and a risk of localised flooding." A Met Eireann forecaster added: "Scattered thunderstorms or longer spells of rain will spread from the south over Leinster, and later this afternoon and evening extending to Ulster, with showers or isolated thunderstorms possible elsewhere."Showers continuing for a time along northern and northeastern coasts but generally it will be a dry, mild and humid night with some patchy mist developing. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees in light northerly or variable winds.
