Ireland weather: Met Eireann forecast temperatures will soar to highs of 24C but showers to hit Dublin and Ulster during the day

After a glorious weekend of sunshine temperatures will continue to climb across the country but weather chiefs have warned the warm spells may not last into the end of next week.

A forecaster added: “Remaining mostly cloudy over Ulster with some showers there during the day with a risk of some heavy bursts. Every day we'll send you a roundup e-mail of all the latest news. Local Irish news, UK and international news, local and national Sport and entertainment news , all in one handy e-mail.

Highest temperatures of 18 to 23 degrees are expected and it will be mild overnight with temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.
