Green Party leader says Sinn Féin needs to take environmental issues seriously

“I believe every party, every political viewpoint, has to be part of this change. So yes, we will work with all parties to make it happen.”

The Green Party leader added that, in such a scenario, Sinn Féin would have to “change” on the environment. “They have to start taking the environmental agenda seriously, and show the ambition and the scale of response, and the funding and the resources that need to go with that in their policy approach,” Mr Ryan said.

“So we would enter any such negotiations with absolutely honest respect to all parties, respecting their mandate, but also holding a line.” Mr Ryan said politics could not “delay” when it came to tackling climate change. “You can’t put off the environment, you can’t put it down as some kind of nice tick-box greenwashing option, it has to be real.”, and advice would have to be sought from the Attorney General in any Cabinet discussion on keeping the ban in place.

The greens. The party that makes up the numbers in gov. It's a nice little earner for eamon.

So selling some forests to the Brits?

The only Green i trust is Kermit the Frog

It’s like the Irish language, bait it into us in school, complete failure. When they stop with the stick and Armageddon adults will start listening, we all want a nice environment to live in but they are going about it all wrong, sadly

Changing the music now? Not long ago he was strongly rejecting any idea of a deal with SF. Every bed its a warm bed if its keeping him in power, is it?

Sure he would. He’d want to change his policies. He’ll not be holding SF to ransom the way they do FF/FG.

They won't have enough TD's

The defenders of animal rights are happy to go into power with the people who supported this? Beggars belief.

He’ll change sides any fucking time..

The Greens are so rotten that they would go with anyone to stay in power. They are showing the country that they can't be trusted and should never enter any government, ever again.

F. O

Sooner EamonRyan is gone the better, he is a disgrace!

Prostitutes will do business with anyone if the price is right .

Slight little issue of getting people to vote for you after destroying our country.

Ugh, I really wish our country had decent parties that we could be proud to vote for instead of trying to figure out which one is going to f**k it up the least 🤦🏻‍♂️

But But But ..free derry corner.

Brits out

The hero party

We know that The Greens strategy is to be king makers and do a deal with any devil

There wont be a green party after NE

I think the Shinners will need more than a couple of people to form a new government

Taking environmental issues seriously would be a first for the Green Party, instead of taxing the public at every opportunity, turning a blind eye to data centres and having the public pay higher electricity bills so business can get cheaper electricity.

Ouch 😬

What cretin would vote green now?

The Irish people should never fall for voting in a coalition ever again.

ABFFG

a SF/green coalition would be the end of this country

Green issues, 1. €800K for advisors. 2. More Data Centres..because.. 3. € Millions in Electricity Subvention for Industry, €200 for the plebs. 4. Kill Deers 5. Free Wolves. 6. Temp excise duty reduction for the plebs Permanent excise reduction for Airlines 7. Bikes

I wish The Green Party started taking environmental issues seriously

Just get off the stage Eamon and take Roderic and Joe with you before social cohesion comes apart with your fantasy asylum policy.

The irony 😂

The Titanic clings to the iceberg .....

I wonder what SF would say about that

Ok. Good to know

Just let the electorate know if it plans on going into coalition with this monstrosity of a party. Obviously it's popularity will go from the most popular to the same as the dreadful tax party 1-2% or something

I really am lost for words only foul language

Of course he would

There was 3 in the bed and the little one said, 'Roll over, Roll over and let Eamon in'...

They would go in to coalition with the Coal Industry if it meant holding on to their seats. It is obvious whose interests they are working for. Forget Sinn Fein more like Me Fein. VoteThemOut

The Green Party Will Be Wiped Out in The Next Election

He sure as sh!t is not getting in on his own mandate and that is for sure. Coillte wasn't formed to be sold to vultures and Ireland cannot survive on bicycles and electric cars with no infrastructure still not in place....

I believe Sinn Fein have been incredibly intelligent in their propaganda recently. Their videos on Tik Tok have been reaching the youth who truly do not know any better. Mary Lou McDonald can be seen in these videos saying what every one wants to hear with the usual no facts to

Nothing a Green Tax can't fix...

He go a sniff of power and a taste of the trough. His family benefitted during coviid with a contract. Hes not giving it up easily A hypocrital green agenda, double standards in behaviour and EU contracts, Export Peat but sales restricted here, mercusor screwing farmers etc

Please No. I beg you get rid of him

They can get ta f...

Priority should be to get rid of ALL of the Greens. Ryan 1st

Those whores would go to bed with anyone

Writings on the Wall!

Explained: What you need to know about failed election declarations from Paschal Donohoe and SFFine Gael and Sinn Féin have consistently sniped one another over their failure to properly declare donations and expenses. Still they persist with the comparison that's not really comparable at all, just to get FG out of trouble. Sinn Féin should realise that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. SF are as corrupt as FF and FG. They're in bed with big business as well. So voting for those is not going to change a damn thing, You'll still have the housing crisis and hospital crisis.
