Prime Minister facing increasing political pressure to offer a clear response to disruptions in support of Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs opposed to a B.C. gas pipeline

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrives to a caucus meeting on Parliament Hill on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020.Prime Minister Justin Trudeau cited “unacceptable” shortages and layoffs Wednesday while he said his government is working “extremely hard” to resolve rail blockades in support of Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs opposed to a natural gas pipeline in northern B.C.

“It is my expectation that law enforcement will take all appropriate action to enforce the law,” he said. A spokesperson for Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Carolyn Bennett said late Tuesday the minister had a conference call Tuesday afternoon with a number of Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs. NDP MP Taylor Bachrach, who represents the B.C. riding of Skeena-Bulkley Valley, said Ottawa has never addressed the legal questions raised by the Supreme Court’s 1997 Delgamuukw case, which was brought by Wet’suwet’en and Gitxsan hereditary chiefs.

Trudeau calls for his lack of leadership as “unacceptable”. Vows to remove himself from office.

Then do something stupid!

Then he should get off his butt and do something

Our PM’s response is unacceptable JustinTrudeau

The Indigenous band councils, elected by Indigenous people, voted for the pipeline. When the non-elected hereditary chiefs are going against the expressed wishes of the Indigenous people they should be removed and replaced by those who will support the Indigenous people.

He was willing to break the law for SNC Lavelin now he won't enforce the law for CN or Via rail jobs . Pretty weak.

20 of the bands including their elected councils and the majority of their members, as well as 8/13 Hereditary Chiefs want this project..there’s a court ordered Injunction for these non-Wet'suwet'en and masked eco-extremist protestors to move 20 feet off the tracks...enforce laws

There is nothing to see here.

No kidding Sherlock 🕵️‍♂️

If it is unacceptable stop talking and fix it.

More 'word salad' from Trudeau.

Yeah? Well he sure is doing sweet F all about them. Nothing but lies and BS emanate from this PM's mouth.

A lot of talk....

… a true Homer Simpson moment… d’oh!

Wow 😲 how did he find out. TrudeauWorstPM TrudeauMustResign

This is what is truly unconscionable , Trudeau:

That's nice but he doesn't understand what that means

People of Canada call the government's treatment of Indigenous populations unacceptable. Reconciliation starts with respect. That means not sending our police in their territories to force them to make oligarchs richer. It also means providing them with safe drinking water.

we don't care what you 'call' things. We want leadership, effective leadership! It's in the interest of Canada that you re-watch this, carefully, and think hard!

And does nothing!

Then do something asshat

Now. Off to the Bahamas!!😉
