The protests began nearly two weeks ago after the hereditary chiefs of the Wet’suwet’en Nation intensified their opposition to the construction of a $6.6-billion natural gas pipeline across B.C.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, seen here on Feb. 17, 2020, said on Monday morning that he’s spoken with Indigenous leaders and provincial premiers as his government works on a plan to respond to the protests. The blockade of a critical rail link between Montreal and Toronto has caused the largest disruption in Canadian National Railway Co.

The protests began nearly two weeks ago after the hereditary chiefs of the Wet’suwet’en Nation intensified their opposition to the construction of a $6.6-billion natural gas pipeline across British Columbia. Locals blocking the pipeline’s construction and ignoring a court order were ejected by an RCMP raid.

“We’re in Day 11 and this has been long enough now. We hope the federal government and the OPP intensify their negotiations to bring this blockade to an end in a forthwith fashion,” said Sean Finn, CN’s senior vice-president and chief legal officer. After the emergency cabinet session in Ottawa, where most of the senior ministers in Mr. Trudeau’s government were present, attention shifted to the West Coast. Carolyn Bennett, the federal Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations, and her B.C. counterpart, Scott Fraser, met in Victoria and the two agreed to asking for a joint meeting with the Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs to discuss their concerns.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau emerged from a meeting with members of his cabinet on Monday speaking of his desire to find a quick and peaceful resolution to anti-pipeline protests that have disrupted rail service in Canada.Chief Donald Maracle of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte said, as he had last week, that the protesters were acting on their own and spoke for themselves.

Anybody know a talented sketch artist? I wonder what a dufus looks like?

...because he hasn’t the first clue about what to do!

Thats the plan isn’t it obvious

He doesn't want to blow the surprise

Plan?! Lol

What is this nonsense of a Nation to Nation relationship? As long as Canadians keep paying their bills, First Nations are not sovereign. CBCNews TheTorontoSun TorontoStar nationalpost CBCTheNational

😡😡😡

We don’t negotiate with terrorists doesn’t apply to Judas

Translated lots of money about to change hands

I do not think he understands the meaning of the word “quickly “,

When there is PM created smoke, he mirrors creating jobs.

New strategy? “Better to have a tight lip than a fat lip.”?!

Here, Justin. Take some very good advice from dear old Dad. He would never have permitted the protests to continue. Did not believe in allowing anarchists to openly challenge the authority of the state. Are you sure your last name is really Trudeau?

He will force it thru as he should. It makes good business sense and is environmentally correct. Trucking trailers of oil to the coast to send to China will do excessively more damage to the atmosphere by adding to the greenhouse effect. Think low iq plebs....

JustinTrudeau MIDDLE CLASS ARE FED UP BY CORPORATE WELFARE To let pipeline use shortcut have bring us in this shit 😡Pipeline should follow main road or main railroad gmbutts cathmckenna telfordk Bill_Morneau TheEconomist cafreeland OttawaCitizen CBCNews

Tight-lipped means don’t have a clue.

As he should be ...

Wake up Canada, the Wet'suwet'en want the pipeline, the protests are staged, the media not reporting the facts, the govt taking no action. There is something much bigger going on here. We are under attack and being divided so we cant fight the cause. WAKE UP FFS!!!

LowaBeebe Mobilizing a few hundred officers an hour away from Tyendinaga means this is mostly bullshit.

You mean clueless.

He threatened to give speeches to all First Nations bands every day for as long as he’s prime minister. Sunny days speeches all day and all night long. They’ll capitulate or go into a coma. Oh how I long for a PM who knows what “rule of law” means. And an OPP that does some work.

Handing over huge amounts of money is always Trudeau's solution. A somber speech and tearful apology will likely go along with that. He is so ridiculously predictable.

It’s called trespassing , rcmp are bored, and have to Justinfy budget! 🍺

Offer them the Khadr plan... You get millions, he gets millions, they get millions , everyone gets millions. 🥳

PlagueofProgs Because he’s clueless.

Because he has NO CLUE!! His whole government had NO CLUE!! He gave one of the highest profile Ministries to his buddy Marc Miller that was in his wedding party. None of them have ANY CLUE as to what to do.

Tight Lipped, nice cover!!😂 He doesn’t have a clue.

He hasn’t got a clue it’s not tight lipped it’s incompetence

Tight lipped!? How about, had no idea what to do?

That's because there is no plan beyond platitudes and pandering His useful idiots might still buy his BS but as the election showed the vast majority of Canadians no longer do

Trudeau keeps saying he wants this to end quickly. It’s gone beyond a quick resolve. I suspect he will halt construction on the pipeline. Our economy, which benefits or hurts all Canadians, will take a terrible hit. No country buying LNG will want to deal with us. We all lose!

There’s also blocked ports, ships, trucks, borders, pipelines and everyday tax payers that fund the blocked infrastructure. It better all get dealt with, people have had enough of liberals pandering to society’s leaches for votes and only catering to QC and ON.

He doesn’t have a clue!

Since rail move gasoline to cities, when will the gas shortages in CDN cities start? Maybe this week? Life is always hard under radical liberal rule. cdnpoli

Somehow JT will throw $ at it.

tight-lipped? He's still for inspiration what to do but it does not come

He just doesn't have a clue 🤭

Trudeau doesn’t care about western Canada

The sunny ways of a psychotic monster. Quit fabricating charges.

“This should fix it”

I’m tight-lipped on my plan to become a billionaire “quickly and peacefully”. Ps, we both have the same plan and we both have zero clue what that is.

The man is a total disaster for Canadian interests,he needs to step down
