SYDNEY, N.S. — Cape Breton Regional Police are investigating after a car was stolen from a parking lot last week and later destroyed.

The car, a black Buick Encore, was stolen from the Walmart on Spar Road at about 7:20 p.m. on Oct. 11, according to a media press release. It was then driven to Whitney Pier and stopped on Columbus Avenue between Bison Drive and Gibbons Road where it was lit on fire and completely destroyed.
