Meghan makes public appearance, but low key Vancouver Island community takes it in stride

If Prince Harry and Meghan want a quieter life, they may have chosen the perfect spot on Vancouver Island, B.C.

The Daily Mail‘s front page on Wednesday lead with a photo of the Duchess at Victoria Harbour Airport as she boarded the Whistler Air Flight that took her to Vancouver. Since then, it’s not clear if Meghan has returned to North Saanich. The lack of photos of Meghan has not been for want of trying. On Monday, Miles Arsenault, the owner and captain of Deep Cove’s Bay to Bay Charters, refused to take three people, including a cameraman out in his water taxi after he learned that his client, a Japanese television station, wanted to stake out Meghan’s address, which is secluded and best viewed from the water.

The property sits at the end of a private road, behind a gate. But since the royals moved in, a white tarp has been placed behind it to provide added privacy. A temporary metal fence has also been erected along the edge of the property that leads down to a public beach and a security camera and dog now keep watch.

Definite correlation between number of ridiculous reader comments and number of readers who clearly didn’t even read the article.

She was not invited. Meghan should stop using Vancouver women for her own pr and photo op purposes. She's only using Canada until she can move to the US. Canadians aren't 'cheap' - we just hate hypocrisy and narcissism.

I feel like the media is pretending more than people are happy about it

Why all of a sudden is the Canadian press treating some second-rate American actress like she's our people's princess?

It's not there's earthquakes, snow and windstorms and planes, roads and ferries cancelled😂🤷

People in liberal cities are often enamoured with those who’ve accomplished nothing. Trudeau, Markle, etc.
