Harry is a British citizen. Meghan is American, and has presumably been applying for British citizenship since their wedding in May 2018. She while filming the TV show “Suits,” but we don’t know what kind of status she had here — she may have gained citizenship or permanent residency, but was likely just an American living in Canada with a work permit, which would have allowed her to buy a house and access Canadian services.

Wth are you talking about? How does an American sponsor a British citizen in becoming a Canadian citizen? Is this called journalism?
As someone who has navigated the immigration site for Canada - this is spot on... it's not that easy for a Brit to just apply and move! If Meghan does have the edge and can qualify, then great! I'd suggest they look at the entrepreneur route - start up a film co!
“What’s valued in immigrant workers is the dedicated experience they can bring to one specific job, according to Ackah.” Tell that to immigrant engineers, doctors, lawyers, nurses, who have to take menial jobs & jump thru ++ hoops trying to get certification to work in Canada.
She is not Canadian so can’t sponsor Harry. Who writes this tripe?
