TSB says derailed train began to move on its ownInvestigators say a Canadian Pacific freight train was parked and began to move on its own before it derailed and killed three crew members on the Alberta-British Columbia boundary. .....a 'loss of control'...... Thank God for the TSB. This started with a parked train sitting which means airbrakes were not conditioned (warmed) reducing effectiveness. The'DB' on those units should have held the train in control as it started to move. Look at the 1997 derailment in same location for clues.
