Somehow, everyone on the boat survived.Despite their horrific journey to Australia, the family has thrived here; working, paying taxes and studying. Amir began his Australian schooling as a grade 2 kid who spoke no English. Last year he graduated in the top 10 per cent of Queensland students.

_Biancah Bianca & Michael Gordon bequest👏for this series. Highlighting cruel & pointless refusal to allow refugees who came here as children / youth to be further educated using HECS. So economically short sighted in times of worker shortages. Inhumane denial of devt of youth’s potential

_Biancah Came in illegally and not Australian! You know how many cant get ahead because of these people? Aussies cant manage to get something we're all entitled to - a house, something secure. This kid now thinks he's entitled. Nope...you live here, you pay your way or go home!

_Biancah Yer I’m really wanting my lower income taxes to help this bloke become rich .

_Biancah So what, who paid for the institutions he studied in? His parents, country he immigrated from? No, the Australian tax payer did and has the right to claim it back!
