José Andrés says an attack that killed seven humanitarian aid workers in Gaza targeted them 'systematically, car by car'.

World Central Kitchen founder José Andrés has said Israel was "targeting us in a deconflicting zone".

Ms Frankcom is being remembered by her family as someone who put her fear to one side in order to help others and for bringing joy to all who knew her. He said after the Israel Defense Forces attacked the first armoured car, the team was able to escape and move to a second car which was then attacked, forcing them to move to the third car.

But Mr Albanese said Israel's assurance that it had been protecting the lives of innocent people in the war stood "in stark contrast" to the many incidents of deaths not just of those who had travelled from overseas to provide aid in Gaza but of Palestinians themselves.

"They were targeting us in a deconflicting zone, in an area controlled by IDF. They knowing that it was our teams moving on that road ... with three cars," he said. The aid workers were killed when their convoy was hit shortly after they oversaw the unloading of 100 tons of food brought to Gaza by sea.

"She put her own misgivings and fears to one side in order to help others, fiercely following the belief that there were people in Gaza who desperately needed help, and it was her calling." As Albanese tips into outrage over the death of an Australian aid worker in an Israeli air strike, Dutton remains unmoved
