Before the collision, the driver’s passenger had told her to slow down, police will allege.

A woman accused of crashing into the car of Greens MP Amy MacMahon had run a red light, was speeding more than 20 kilometres over the limit, and had been told by her passenger to slow down, police will allege.

As she attempted to turn onto Main Street from Baines Street, MacMahon’s Prius collided with a Hyundai, allegedly driven by Moorooka woman Rani Paige Lowry, 26.
