Tia Cameron, an 18-year-old girl, was remembered by her family as vivacious and audacious at her funeral after she was hit by a bus in Brisbane's CBD. The tragedy has affected many witnesses and commuters who laid flowers and photos at the accident site.

Tia Cameron has been remembered as vivacious and audacious. She had plans to study, travel the world with her boyfriend and buy her first home next year. Always with a cheeky smile, she would take her younger cousins on adventures, entertain her family with funny sayings or tell them stories. This was how the 18-year-old was remembered by her family at her funeral at Brisbane ’s Hillsong Theatre, her life cut short when she was hit by a bus in the CBD on March 8.

Cameron, who worked at The Brisbane Club on the front desk, had left work that Friday afternoon and gone for a lash appointment at a salon off Edward Street. Just after 5pm, a turning bus careened across the footpath and struck Cameron, pinning her against the wall of the Anzac Square Arcade building. Flowers and photos have been laid at the site, with the tragedy affecting many commuters who witnessed the crash.
