A young woman and toddler remain in a serious condition after they were reportedly struck by a car south of Brisbane on Friday.
The crash occurred about 10:40am on Menzies Street in Bethania, Logan, roughly 32 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD. The woman in her late teens and the young boy both suffered significant head injuries according to Queensland Ambulance Service.A Queensland Police spokeswoman told SkyNews.com.au the pair were rushed to the Princess Alexandria Hospital and the Queensland Children’s Hospital.
“Two patients in serious conditions were transported to hospital following an earlier incident at Bethania,” QAS said on X about the incident.- Two patients are being assessed after reportedly being struck by a vehicle on Menzies St at 10.40am.The driver of the vehicle, a woman in her 70s, was transported to Logan Hospital where she is understood to be in a stable condition.
The Queensland Police Forensic Crash unit is investigating the incident and any witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact police.
