A man is facing charges after a woman was allegedly raped, forced into the boot of a car and chased while shots were fired at Dry Creek, north of Adelaide.

A woman was allegedly raped, forced into the boot of a car and chased by a man as shots were fired during an incident north of Adelaide last night, police have said.Police surrounded a wetlands area and found a man hiding in bushesThe victim made a triple zero call about 8.15pm to report she was being chased by a man known to her at Dry Creek.

The woman managed to escape the boot but the man chased her around nearby wetlands while several shots were reportedly fired. Officers including PolAir and the STAR group surrounded the wetlands area, adjacent to the highway, and found the suspect hiding in bushes.A 37-year-old Craigmore man has been charged with unlawful detention and rape. He has been refused bail and is expected to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday.
