A 20-year-old man has been arrested by NSW Police in connection with the death of an 18-year-old woman in a Maitland home.
Police said they were treating the woman's death as suspicious and believed the pair were known to each other. In a statement, NSW Police said officers from the Port Stephens-Hunter district found the woman's body inside a home on Galway Crescent in Maitland, in the lower Hunter Valley, around 1.30am Saturday.The man has been arrested and was taken to Maitland Police Station. A crime scene has been set up around the home, with officers from the State Crime Command's homicide squad assisting with the investigation.
