BIC makes a superior razor anyway

So where do we go from here Gillette?

Irrelevant: Shows you what companies will do to try to sell a product. No more Gillette for me.

A stunt

I’ll just leave this here

I hope their share price has gone through the floor

Gillette is rubbish anyway.

We all know a bloke who this was aimed at, if those dinosaurs are upset, so what? Hopefully they are in the minority, so if they want to boycott the product, let them. Their downtrodden, abused wives probably buy their husbands razors and deodorant anyway!

It’s an ad...supposed to sell product (which is difficult to assess at the moment).....so no, it won’t.

you need a product you buy it..simple

Australia's only answer to 'male violence'? Cut their balls off...

People that don't fully understand the moral that advert entailed will obviously have a bug up their arse about it!?! Set an example for the youth of today to learn & thus, set in mind, an image of themselves that will respect/care for others (Male/Female)!?! Gillette

It tells me a good way of vetting potential dates. Their answer to my question of what they think about the ad will tell me all I need to know

Let's hope they go broke

A downturn in sales.

Marketing stunt gone wrong pushed by an anti male feminazi!

Schick

Stunt

Gets lots of claps from people who don't buy their razors and boycotted by people who do. You tell me?

I’d say it’s done it’s job. The amount of butt hurt males over a little commercial shows that the ad was necessary.

🤷‍♂️

Nike sales went up considerably with Kap on their ad campaign.

Gillette defends controversial short film 'The Best Men Can Be''If we get people to pause, reflect and to challenge themselves... this campaign will be a success.' BroedeCarmody Women are losing their shit over this one, the advert disses men but it's the girls going nuts. It's been an enlightening couple of days. BroedeCarmody Apparently the add was targeted to females now, not men. BroedeCarmody I don’t understand, so is this ad aimed at men or women? If men then misguided, if women then isn’t it just using an important women’s issue to sell its product. Sorry, what was the message again?

Gillette tackles toxic masculinity with new ad.Gillette's new ad is being praised for challenging men to “shave their toxic masculinity” — but not everyone is happy about it. Gillette Must be getting harder for brands to get noticed. Gillette Yet another example of society telling young men and boys that they are inherently bad and violent. Gillette Just make razors and shut up! I’m so sick of businesses who wilfully pollute and financially exploit the world presenting themselves as somehow high moraled when we all know it’s just a ruse to exploit more money out of us!

Why Gillette's ad slamming toxic masculinity is drawing cheers - and angerIt shouldn't be a controversial proposition: The best a man can be is kind instead of cruel, generous instead of petty, protective instead of predatory. But Gillette is facing backlash for its latest ad. No, the ad predictably demonstrates what happens when a company regurgitates toxic feminist talking points to its primarily male consumer base. I used to like women, but Gillette have really turned me off them. Gillette and feminism can both get stuffed. Go mgtow

Insulted by the Gillette ad about jerks? Chances are you’re a jerkIf it takes a commercial to raise awareness about toxic masculinity, so be it. This is such a leftist strategy of name calling. Just because someone disagrees with the add doesn’t make them anything, other than a person who disagrees with the ad. Hopefully this will be the end of this journalism student’s career, or at least she will realise that this type of journalism has no place in Australian democracy. dear me xx

Gillette’s not 'the best a man can get'The razor maker has jumped on the metoo bandwagon as a cynical marketing ploy, and it follows its long history of sexism. Yeah, let's not accept that a multinational corporation has decided to use its clout to actually promote a change in the culture. Marketing ploy or not, the message needs to pervade society in all forms. Congratulations to Gillette and boo to first year media studies criticism. I can’t believe the hype over a large multi national corporation putting out an opportunistic ad that somehow is going to change the world...all of a sudden they are the darlings of social media. Just wait until the majority of shoppers (women) pause before buying their man a razor, knowing the Gillette brand has been politicised and the purchase now laden with a subtext of criticism. A great strategy for a challenger brand, but market leader?
