Masculinity redefined. Some boys simply get older, others earn their right to become a man.

Brilliant! hopefully more big brands will follow and demonstrate greater leadership and responsible social advertising.

Not powerful , offensive

Good work.

No one has ever been offended by something that doesn't apply to them. This add is exactly what everyone needs to see and start doing! It is the same with women and bitchness. Boys will be boys; Girls will be girls.... everyone can do better!

Oh good, another generation of young boys who will be punished, suppressed and outcast in their schools and classrooms for behaving 'toxically'. They will be disciplined and made to feel bad because they are not always quiet and still, unlike the girls.

I use an electric shaver.

Oh dear.... 🤪

I don’t need to be lectured to, I just want a good shave.

i like it; ppl are overreacting as usual

I love traditional masculinity and so does everybody around me

So many broflakes, so much salt 😂

The most sexist video to ever be released yet people think this is ok...... imagine if there was a video about women telling them how they need to be and labeling them all as people of bad behavior. This political correctness nonsense has gone too far and men are sick of the BS

Just another advertisement...

This should read “Big corporate chooses to take a social stance to sell more product.”

I love masculinity in men. Gillette has become toxic!

Pathetic attack on our men.

Kindergarten stuff. Propogated by LGBTI types.

The only 'men' who are offended are the ones who feel like it is their appalling behaviour that is being targeted (bullying, violence, sexual assault and harassment). All the men who don't have these behavioural issues and oppose such behaviours, think the ad is brilliant.

They are gonna lose customers over this!GetWokeGoBroke

Virtue signalling sick making for the most part....

An ex-PM intervened when he witnessed a case of DV last week & was pilloried by LWNJ’s. The permanently outraged can’t or won’t be pleased or satisfied. In the meantime Gillette is off the shopping list. corporatevirtualsignalling

AuntyCath1 Good ad. There's good sense in avoiding all things toxic, and toxic masculinity is one of the big ones. It can be an easy trap for males to fall into by just agreeing with the boys instead of saying no! It's good to see a big company step up to the plate with this messaging.

It’s sexist and demeaning to men

Great work

load of horseshit

All kinds of toxic behaviour should rejected. Women are not paragons of virtue either.

and the MRA's are saying 'not all men' and 'dont preach at us' 😞🤬

So are the razors still the best you can get, the change hints that their quality may have changed.

Boycotted . Sexist and racist ad .

How sad. Even they have folded to feminism rubbish

Who doesn't love a side order of accusations with their shaving kit?

Excellent - the cave man is just too wierd.

And what about the SMH's toxic cultural Marxism that permeates many articles? Women may not be as physically violent as men but they are not Snow White. See Goneril and Regan. See Martha in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolfe and of course Kate in The Taming of the Shrew.

Best ad I have seen in years

'...some men act in the right way...' Sounds to me as if Gillette think the majority of men act in the wrong way. Great way to marginalise the majority of your customers.

Can’t wait for the Tampax ad rejecting toxic feminism!

Live this ad - it’s brilliant.

Next they can stop making razors pink for women and more expensive 🤬

Won't buy that crap then.

Powerful😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Good on them.

Utter 🐂💩 no more P&G products for me.

Theyre not selling razors, theyre selling misandry.

f*** Gillette. i bought a Panasonic electric shaver.

The ad was clumsy and patronising.

BoycottGilette

Rejecting Gillette instead. Marketing magic.

Oh and how the incels have been triggered

Gillette tackles toxic masculinity with new ad.Gillette's new ad is being praised for challenging men to “shave their toxic masculinity” — but not everyone is happy about it. Gillette Must be getting harder for brands to get noticed. Gillette Yet another example of society telling young men and boys that they are inherently bad and violent. Gillette Just make razors and shut up! I’m so sick of businesses who wilfully pollute and financially exploit the world presenting themselves as somehow high moraled when we all know it’s just a ruse to exploit more money out of us!

'Shave toxic masculinity': New Gillette ad addresses #MeToo movement head onThe ad from the global brand encourages men to hold each other to a higher standard of behaviour and no longer use the saying 'boys will be boys' as an excuse. 'Powerful' 😂 Bahaha 🥴 Yep - we're falling all over ourselves! metoo is a bunch of pissy feminists that thought they'd won something against men - but the Courts seem to think otherwise. Boys will be Boys and then they'll be Men. Fuckyou metoo.

Why Gillette's ad slamming toxic masculinity is drawing cheers - and angerIt shouldn't be a controversial proposition: The best a man can be is kind instead of cruel, generous instead of petty, protective instead of predatory. But Gillette is facing backlash for its latest ad. No, the ad predictably demonstrates what happens when a company regurgitates toxic feminist talking points to its primarily male consumer base. I used to like women, but Gillette have really turned me off them. Gillette and feminism can both get stuffed. Go mgtow

I know all about toxic masculinity; toxic feminism isn't the answerHaving lived with a violent father, this author and educationist says the Gillette advertisement's attack on masculinity - and the feminists cheering it on - are doing nothing to promote understanding between the sexes. Hey uhhh, did you even watch the fucking ad? Seriously 🤨 Have chucked my wilkinsonsword and will only use Gillette from now on. Yo! ☺

Sydney fire station caught up in 'toxic masculinity' debate after sign backlashThe sign outside the fire station in Sydney's inner-west read: “House fires are toxic, our masculinity isn’t”. Rubbish! It’s ‘Freedom of Speech’ So they've come under fire because all men are toxic according the feminist extremists? This makes your news?

Who could hate Gillette's campaign for positive masculinity? Men couldWho could possibly hate Gillette's campaign for positive masculinity? Men could, writes clementine_ford clementine_ford clementine_ford They could...but most decent men wouldn’t have the slightest issue with it. And they certainly don’t need women like Clementine and Miranda telling them they should be offended and outraged by it. clementine_ford I'm a man and I don't. Easy to find someone who wants their 15 mins of fame and is among the perpetually outraged fairies

Gillette defends controversial short film 'The Best Men Can Be''If we get people to pause, reflect and to challenge themselves... this campaign will be a success.' BroedeCarmody Women are losing their shit over this one, the advert disses men but it's the girls going nuts. It's been an enlightening couple of days. BroedeCarmody Apparently the add was targeted to females now, not men. BroedeCarmody I don’t understand, so is this ad aimed at men or women? If men then misguided, if women then isn’t it just using an important women’s issue to sell its product. Sorry, what was the message again?

Gillette’s not 'the best a man can get'The razor maker has jumped on the metoo bandwagon as a cynical marketing ploy, and it follows its long history of sexism. Yeah, let's not accept that a multinational corporation has decided to use its clout to actually promote a change in the culture. Marketing ploy or not, the message needs to pervade society in all forms. Congratulations to Gillette and boo to first year media studies criticism. I can’t believe the hype over a large multi national corporation putting out an opportunistic ad that somehow is going to change the world...all of a sudden they are the darlings of social media. Just wait until the majority of shoppers (women) pause before buying their man a razor, knowing the Gillette brand has been politicised and the purchase now laden with a subtext of criticism. A great strategy for a challenger brand, but market leader?
