BREAKING: The man responsible for a brutal unprovoked murder of a woman walking home in Melbourne that shocked the nation won’t be jailed for life.

This is beyond. Hope he has fun in jail.

Another example of the perpetrator getting sympathy, while the victims family have to live with the loss. These judges have lost the plot.

See you at his next victims trial

Absolutely disgusting and undemocratic!

Where is the consideration for the risk of future offending and a life already lost - So wrong

He will be fucking out in 30 years and do it again. This shit makes me angry

should get jailed for natural life (hard labour)shows how little respect courts have for victims

So poor Aiia and her family are punished due to his disadvantaged and deprived upbringing?

Apparently you get a discount for brutally raping and murdering someone if you tick enough of the right “victim” boxes

I suppose in this stupid woke climate, the victim being Israeli didn’t help much... Surprised he got more than 5 years; his skin is the right colour though😡!! So that’s the main thing I guess🤦🏼‍♂️. 🙄

Trust me he won’t be coming out to see a day light. Cos Shit happens in general population

He was/is a scapegoat... indigenous Australians are NOT enemies of the Palestinians... this was a hate crime + we all know who hates Palestinians... 😒 ...that also makes it a cover-up by Vic Police...

Because he’s indigenous?

“deeply shocking” is an understatement 💔💔💔

This is why vigilantes deserve our full support.

Unfortunately it’s a legal system, not a justice system

Why?

No, he shouldn’t be sentenced to life.....he should be put to death!

The judges should be named and shamed.

God I hate judges. So completely out of touch from community expectations. An innocent human life means nothing to them while they stack points to reduce a sentence just because of a harder upbringing, its all statistics to them with no care whatsoever. This girl is dead forever.

Can show you over 1000 people who had worse upbringing & more serious mental health issues who know full well you don’t rape, murder & burn people. Let’s get serious about crime huh? Take a life then get life.

😡

This bloke set up a company run by his mate and $50+ million went off to the Caymans and he isn't even investigated.

I’m sorry. But if you rape, burn someone alive and let them die a slow agonising death- no sob story that he is an aboriginal, stupid, drug, abused, loser factor should be taken into account. Shame on the judge.

Oh well. They got all the facts.

These judges need to go. Punish the crime, not the sob story. Don't make victims of the family of the deceased.

'Cumulative risk' helps decide why cafes are open but you can't have a visitor to your Melbourne homeWhile the lockdown is officially ending in Melbourne, many tight restrictions will remain in place for at least another week. Here's why. Somehow it determines 100 people can go to a brothel but you can't have grandparents over to see the grandkids. 🙄 So because funerals can’t be rescheduled the risk is considered acceptable Wtf is this retarded shit Thankyou for your reasons on the more further restrictions and why makes sense.and whingers hardluck just shut up and follow the rules ungrateful all of you victorians.

Here's why snow chasers leave Brisbane out in the coldEven Australia's major cold snap this week may not be enough for the city to improve on its lousy record when it comes to seeing snowflakes. When I was a kid all I wanted was for it to snow in Brisbane. Now I refuse to get out of bed until it’s double figures. Which *looks at weather* won’t be today. I’ll try again tomorrow. Or September. You have not noted the critical role of altitude in snowfall. Snow at sea level is rare anywhere in Australia let alone the subtropics. Toowoomba, the Downs and the Granite Belt have altitude. Brisbane does not. The picture of the snowy house could be hail. Having said that, I have seen a snowcloud from the Brisbane suburbs back in the 90s, sitting on Mt Glorious.

How UK food standards differ from ours, and why British farmers are nervous about a trade dealDifferences in food and agriculture standards between the United Kingdom and Australia have emerged as issues for British farmers, as the two nations get closer to a trade deal. If only the British could be part of some sort of union where the same standards could be applied more widely, making trade easier between the countries within it. The Australian government allows the use of chemicals that the EU has banned. Chemicals proven to make people sick. Impacting millions of people. But our journalists are too preoccupied on bs issues about defamation, and other privileged issues. Pretty sure the UK would rather declare Terra Nullius and take it all for free as they did from us Australian Natives for centuries despite the British not being deaf, dumb, and blind 250 years ago!
