Regional NSW residents say they're being forced to buy COVID rapid antigen tests in ziplock bags with no instructions. Authorities say it could be illegal.

Consumers are being warned to look out for repackaged COVID testing kits after some were sold in regional New South Wales.It comes as several regional NSW residents report being sold such testsTamworth resident Tammy Clark had failed to find any rapid antigen tests in stock at chemists in town when she went searching further afield.At a service station last week, Ms Clark said she was given the choice of one box of two tests for $48, on display on the counter in boxes, or five tests for $99.

The post has since attracted more than 60 comments, with other residents sharing similar experiences with other retailers. "My husband and I drove 60 kilometres each way to purchase them from a service station as they were the only ones available in the northern areas of NSW," Ms Faulks said."We felt we had no choice as nothing else was available."

The police can't do anything about businesses ripping customers off; they can do something about someone who doesn't register their +ve result (but don't know how); they won't do anything about enforcing health orders about wearing masks in apartment buildings. A wonderful life

It was planned. To drive down reported numbers they make PCR testing difficult. Then push RAT self tests. And it worked. Every action by Scomo was aimed at lowering reported numbers. Some wouldn't float.
