The Berejiklian government is embroiled in a sporting grants slush fund controversy, with figures showing it splashed the bulk of its $33.4 million program on Liberal electorates.

Under the NSW program, some Liberal electorates had several projects funded, while large local government areas in Labor-held areas of western Sydney received nothing.A total of 15 grants, worth a combined $33.4 million, were issued as part of the inaugural funding. Canterbury Bankstown Council, the biggest local government area in NSW, along with Blacktown, Liverpool and Campbelltown councils were all overlooked. Those areas are home to more than 1 million people.

A spokesman for the Office of Sport said the panel included an "independent member external to the Office of Sport and a probity adviser to guide the process." "Gladys Berejiklian’s Liberals have misused taxpayer money as an election slush fund," Ms Voltz said. Blacktown Labor MP Stephen Bali, who stepped down as mayor of Blacktown in October, confirmed the council applied for a $5 million grant to help fund its International Centre of Training Excellence, a sports high performance and health recovery centre.

This article is an exaggeration. The money has been spent on capital projects on sporting infrastructure in a particular year. For example, the largest spend was in Rydalmere for a project that was needed and had been in planning for several years.

Only 6 years ago a $3000 bottle of wine brought down the NSW Premier. It's hard to believe the level of corruption that is now seemingly acceptable -- only 6 years later. The ICAC themselves probably need to be investigated, because visible, high level corruption, is now rampant.

NSW LNP nothing more than LaborLite. Conservatives who push for small government and care about small business, working people and traditional values have gone missing.
