Cash-strapped country council desperate to recover $55,000 its former chief executive allegedly paid Ms E for sexual services, says the 'devastated' shire president.

The former chief executive of Shire of Ravensthorpe accused of using public funds to pay for sex has offered to pay back the $55,000, according to the shire's president.The Corruption and Crime Commission alleges "Ms E" began receiving payments in March 2020The shire president says Mr Pollock has vowed to pay back $55,000

The report said the payments were "serious misconduct" and recommended criminal charges be considered against Mr Pollock.Speaking on ABC Perth Mornings program, Shire President Keith Dunlop said the matter was devastating for the council. "Any money is significant. We're only a small shire and every dollar is really very valuable to us," he said.

The Commission's report said Mr Pollock was a client of "Ms E" for a number of years and that the scheme in which she received payments from the shire started in March 2020.
