It comes as a vaccination clinic at the Perth Royal Show will offer walk-ins with no bookings this week, he says.

Mr McGowan said 61.8 per cent of the state have had one dose of the coronavirus vaccine while 43 per cent are double dose vaccinated.West Australian Premier Mark McGowan hopes the new advertising campaign will help life the state's vaccination numbers. "What we are trying to do is everything we can to encourage Western Australians to come forward and get vaccinated," Mr McGowan said.

The premier said the new ad campaign would be "uplifting" and highlight the community benefits of high vaccination rates.It is aimed at a range of age groups to encourage more residents to get the shot, Mr McGowan says.WA Premier Mark McGowan says the pandemic situation in New South Wales is too serious for borders to be reopened.

Mr McGowan said the government could not set a date to reopen the border to NSW and Victoria "because their situation is very serious"."The border will open one day ... and the international border will be opening at some time, so go and get vaccinated."
