Vow And Declare wins the 2019 Melbourne Cup

The 2019 Melbourne Cup has been won by Vow And Declare in a thrilling finish to the race that stops the nation.

Master Of Reality, ridden by international jockey Frankie Dettori, had a length lead in the closing 100 metres of the race, but was swamped by the field in the final meters in one of the great finishes in the Cup's 159-year history. However, the protest did not affect the winner of the race, handing a maiden win to both jockey Craig Williams and trainer Danny Williams."It was a privilege to ride him today," Williams said.
