Victorian Health Minister Martin Foley has outlined the changes in restrictions which will take place once the state passes the 80 per cent double dose milestone.

From 6pm on Friday indoor venues such as restaurants, pubs, gyms and hairdressers will open with no caps – subject to the one person per four square metre rules for fully vaccinated patrons.

Cinemas and theatres will operate at 75 per cent capacity for fully vaccinated patrons with one person per four square metres. “Most outdoor settings will remain at one person per two square metre limit up to the 500 people limit, where both staff and patrons are fully vaccinated,” he said. “Indoor and outdoor settings will also be covered by those density quotients as well, for things like weddings, funerals, religious gatherings, again, if all persons are vaccinated.”
