A convicted rapist is walking the streets, and his victim says it's not good enough. 9News

Abathur Khamas was convicted of the rape of Amy* earlier this year.

But four months on, he has not yet served a single day behind bars, and remains on bail waiting to be sentenced. "It should be made mandatory that upon conviction, you are taken into custody straight away and not be allowed to roam free in this country," Amy told, Amy speaks out about the suffering Khamas inflicted on her - and her pain that he still walks the streets.

Additionally, security footage will show Khamas's first interactions with Amy in the hotel where he assaulted her, and what he did afterwards.
