New details about the 2022 shootings have been unveiled in the US case against an Arizona man who has pleaded not guilty to five charges.

An American man allegedly sent his “comfort and assurance” to a family that fatally shot two Queensland police officers.

“Although I cannot be there ... the comfort and assurance I offer is that our enemies will become afraid of us,” he allegedly wrote. Day is accused of repeatedly sending messages to the Trains between May 2021 and December 2022 about a “Christian end-of-days ideology” known as premillennialism.Prosecutors had offered Day a deal that required him to plead guilty, with a deadline to accept by May 17. Arizona District Court records instead show Day instructed his lawyer to enter pleas of not guilty at an arraignment on May 16.

Soon after the video was posted, and before all three Trains were killed, Day allegedly responded that he wished he could be there.
