Optus, TPG: A history of the 2022 spectrum war

Having feuded all through 2022 on TPG’s decision to throw in its lot with Telstra , everyone involved is no doubt proud of how they pulled this off.

No one likes to be accused of facilitating death and mayhem. TPG, go figure, was furious, sending out corporate affairs execto accuse Optus of leveraging “the suffering of communities affected by bushfires and floods for social media stunts”.By November 2022, TPG and Telstra were, in joint submissions, writing that “Optus lost. Unsurprisingly, it does not like it”.
