The Senate will likely pass the measure at some point next week before President Joe Biden signs it into law, which may come as early as Monday or Tuesday.
In a post on X, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he was grateful for both US parties and “personally Speaker Mike Johnson” who brought the bill to the floor and had kept “history on the right track”. The Ukraine component of the bill passed on Saturday with a vote of 311-112 with all opposed being Republicans, while 101 were in support.
