Bullshit

In America they physically harmed our journos but here in Australia we put the fear in them by changing the laws. Which is worse?

simonahac And in Australia, the PM takes the raids on journalists by Federal police, not so seriously and nary a comment about the court case.

The ambassador is worried about journalist in another country. But the prime minister of Australia is not concerned over a black teenager in Australia being mistreated with excess force. I support our police force but It’s clear on camera it was excessive .

Taking it seriously is not verbalising how seriously fk’d US cops r. If he did Trump wud no doubt sack him. He is full of it

Yeah righto ..

In most 3rd world dictatorships the media is targeted!

US Ambassadors to Australia job vacancy. Check Donald Trump's Twitter account for details.

He’s not taking it seriously. We should expel him and the US Marines from Australia. And call for immediate talks around our treaty with the US.

Media like to think they are special. Move on when told to.

Putting to one side the repulsive and derogatory comments being aimed at the ones being assaulted, these protests have shown the extent of unfettered American police brutality. Being substantially unaccountable whilst claiming immunity from prosecution has to go.

What about an immediate strongly worded protest?

ohh really after the event

Selective information as usual by media - as usual

Really? Good, now demand the UK to FreeAssangeNOW

Media self interest as usual.

Maybe this new crew need a lesson in which side of the barrier to be on. From simply looking at a still image it’s clear what side they should have been on. Hope they like the taste of cold hard shield.

Show us the footage of them being told to move behind the barrier beforehand. Where's that footage?

Media sooks... grow a pair

It's a shame the US administration doesn't take the 'mistreatment' of it's citizens seriously.

Tell that to Julian Assange.

News crew shouldn’t have put themselves in that position cops are obviously trying to clear an area just do what they are telling you and get out of the area I have no sympathy for the news crew

When will mjrowland68 ItaButtrose condemn the sickening violence of the last 10 days?

Poor situational awareness by news crew, shouldn’t have been there

.Yeah right. Our PM doesn't even take it seriously

I think the US has more pressing issues .

Deport him

Tell that to Julian assange

The idiots were told to move they didn’t Bingo they got moved great job DC police

US protests 'blurred' between race issues and anarchy | Sky News AustraliaUS correspondent Cam Stewart says while the majority of protesters in the United States are peaceful, it is a small percentage “that’s really causing the problem”. \n\nViolent demonstrations have spread across the US following the death of unarmed black man George Floyd who was killed by police, sparking riots over police brutality. \n\nMr Cameron told Sky News incentives for citizens to riot became “a blur” between real race issues and anarchy. \n\nHe said protests ramped up in Washington DC where protesters lit the basement of St John’s Church – traditionally the place of worship for presidents – on fire. \n\n“Even to see that was such a symbolic gut punch, if you like, to America,” he said. \n\nImage: AP Oh. Those “mostly peaceful protesters.” Right. The peaceful protester is the most versatile weapon in their arsenal, they should be out there cracking hippy skulls Can Cam Stewart point to any evidence that the killing of George Floyd was racially motivated because nobody else can.

Fears US riots will end with martial law, people ‘shot by military’ | Sky News AustraliaSky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says he fears the week of violent protests triggered by the fatal arrest of George Floyd will end with people “shot by the military”.\n\nAfter failing to suppress protesters from coast to coast across the states, US President Donald Trump warned he would deploy the military to “quickly solve the problem” if a city or state refused to “take the actions necessary to defend the life and property of their residents”.\n\nMr Clennell said he believed the situation would only be resolved with military action. \n\n“Essentially, you will see the President using the Insurrection Act to overrule the governors if this goes on, which you anticipate it might even if they call in the National Guard,' he said. \n\n“We’ll effectively have several cities in the US under martial law.\n\n“What are the rules of engagement there? Are the military going to be in a position to arrest people? Are they going to have weapons? It’s a scary three or four days ahead. \n\n“Nothing any political leader seems to say stops these protests and stops the violence.”\n\nImage: AP aclennell That is why 2A exiwt and why citizens should arm and strike back aclennell aclennell Or shot by well armed and reinforced Americans exercising their 2ND Amendment Rights.
