A student at the University of NSW and one at Sydney University have tested positive to COVID-19.

UNSW said the infected student went into immediate self-isolation and was not on campus while contagious.

The USYD student reported feeling unwell at the weekend and is recovering in hospital. Six on campus locations will be cleaned and about 80 people have been identified as close contacts of the infected students and were asked to self-isolate for 14 days.
