Police discovered two bodies in a home in Brisbane's south-west after being called for a welfare check. The incident is suspected to be related to domestic violence. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of death and the identities of the deceased individuals.

Two bodies discovered at a property in Brisbane ’s south-west were found after officers were called to conduct a welfare check , police say. A man and woman were found inside a home on Redhead Street in Doolandella about 7pm on Tuesday, in what police suspect was a domestic violence incident. It was not immediately clear how the deaths occurred, and police were continuing their investigations.

On Wednesday, Detective Inspector Michael Hogan, who is assistant regional crime coordinator, said police were yet to formally identify the bodies. Police initially said the pair, who were known to each other, were aged in their 30s, but Hogan later clarified the woman was aged 29. “There’s still a crime scene examination ... ongoing and during this examination I can also confirm that the identification of those two people has not been confirmed,” he said. “For that reason I won’t be commenting on those particular people until that identification has been complete
