Major Twitter accounts, including the official accounts of Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Joe Biden, Kanye West and Silicon Valley giants Apple and Uber, have apparently been hacked.
Former US President Barack Obama and former Mayor of New York City Mike Bloomberg also appear to have had their accounts hacked.Some of the tweets were swiftly deleted but there appeared to be a struggle to regain control of the accounts. In the case of billionaire Tesla chief executive Mr Musk, one tweet soliciting cryptocurrency was removed but another one appeared sometime later.

1/2 - The scam has been going on for sometime. Youtube verified accounts were hacked and the scams were also pushed, 5 days ago Ads were seen promoting scams. They usually target VitalikButerin with $ETH scam. Now they're targeting Twitter verified accounts.

Several big accounts hacked. Twitter should stop the tweets going out, surely there is a filter they can apply or block access to affected accounts until they are restored. smh
