The Trump Administration has discussed conducting the country's first nuclear tests in more than two decades.

Senior officials considered the move on May 15, following reports Russia and China were conducting low-yield nuclear tests. The United States has not conducted a nuclear test explosion since September 1992. There are fears a relaunch would be detrimental to international relationships with other nuclear powers.
