"A dedicated father and friend of many, Kurt always pushed himself to give 110 per cent and will be missed my all."The collapse occured at Ballarat Gold Mine. Hourigan was working with a 21-year-old man from Ballarat at the time of the collapse, who suffered injuries to his lower body.A further 29 workers in the mine escaped injury after gathering in a "safety pod".
