"We've announced a number of sector wide specific packages for housing, for the arts, for tourism. But we also recognise that the recent events in Victoria are being to be an impediment to the speed and the trajectory of the economic recovery across the nation." spend the whole $60 billion Josh.

I thought they loved a false economy!

Yep and still, essential workers & frontliners don’t get any support. Not even a measly raise while working every Pandemic day. 🤷🏻‍♀️Meanwhile hundreds of billions are thrown & wasted on defense 🤦🏻‍♀️.Or rorted. This federal goverment does not prioritise people.👎🏼 auspol Covid19Au

tax cuts for those on $200k? well guess thats the deposit for the new Mercedes or Porsche, that should help the 100's of thousands unemployed who cannot pay rent, utilities or put food on table. Those tax cuts were from a time past before covid-19 & should be scrapped & redirected

The countries who continue to support their citizens through this pandemic will end up with the biggest debt BUT they will have an operational society that can work it 's way out of it.

Nice, they've achieved the bare minimum.

Banks to offer further four-month mortgage break to avoid September 'cliff'Customers still struggling to make loan repayments due to COVID-19 will be offered deferral extensions of up to four months, but they will not be automatically granted, Australian banks announce. If they want to help drop their credit card rates to 10% instead of having them at 22% so cash flow starts and people spend money so our economy restarts LET IT CRASH give us a chance ffs Yet again another example of the upper half of society getting assistance while the renting classes miss out. If an owner can defer their mortgage, how is it they can continue to claim rent if the property isn't their primary residence?

JEChalmers 20 years of the dumb population ponzi property speculation economy, then our leaders outsource their responsibilities to OH&S & now looking into the face of a depression they still cannot offer anything like a sustainable productive plan.
