Infectious diseases physician Dr Nick Coatsworth is calling for a change to the seven-day isolation period as absenteeism from COVID-19 continues to put a strain on Australia's workforce.

The seven-day isolation period was introduced to minimise the spread of COVID-19 but with millions of people forced to take leave from work, the issue remains a top concern.

Infectious diseases physician Dr Nick Coatsworth is calling to scrap the seven-day isolation period as absenteeism from COVID-19 weighs on the workforce. The infectious diseases expert said the decision to re-introduce the seven-day isolation period was uniquely Australian approach and urged the policy to be changed.

Dr Coatsworth also touched on long COVID which will be addressed at next week's Jobs and Skills Summit following the release of a damning government report.

Isnt that the un jabbed expert!!!

This is a joke right? He is a joke! He together with all medical officers, government officials - all who enforced mandates, ignored global pfizer data, data showing major harm & deaths from COVID Vaccines will be held to account! Major Lawsuits have started globally!!

This the same “doctor”? nick_coatsworth why would you interview this irrelevant ex CHO?

You mean a 'spokesperson' for the incompetent, dishonest and corrupt LNP pond life! No more ,no less!

Is top Dr assumed like MAFS star?

Just went through it but to suggest I was fit enough to go to work is no way. Crook as a dog

Failed LNP hopefully. I hope Nick does well with his niche client base who don’t believe in medicine.

Top doctor?

This Dr Nick Coatsworth

Isolation to 5 days is still a work week 🤷‍♂️ The RWNJs love to yell and rant about things that make no difference but sound radical.

I’ve got Covid now and am still going to shopping centres, cafes etc. Time to drop it completely.

How about outlaw all vaccine mandates for workplaces and let people return to their jobs.

When will people realise that it is impossible to have COVID if you avoid taking a test. If you are still running off to get a test everytime that you get a sniffle, you are an intellectually vacuous bottom-feeder that should not be allowed the right to vote🥴🖕

Tennis fan has ‘pretty good case’ against Nick KyrgiosThe Australian's Sophie Elsworth says the tennis fan suing Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has a “pretty good case”. Ms Elsworth said the story of the tennis fan had “gone global”. “She probably has a good case here,” she told Sky News Australia. “It will be interesting to see if she has a win … I think she has a pretty good case, that this has damaged her reputation.” I don't believe this will see a courtroom. Kyrigos will throw some go away money at the fan, and it will be settled. She was not acting like an appropriate tennis spectator either way. Especially at Wimbledon, where players still have to wear only white to play there! She does tend to run her mouthy opinion on everything.
