The 23-month-old boy was in the lounge room of his family home on Hermitage Crescent in Cartwright when he was bitten by the dog just after 7.30pm yesterday.The dog was removed by local council rangers.
He suffered "significant wounds" on the left side of his face, police said, and was taken to Liverpool Hospital by his mother.
Bet it was not a poodle!
