One cancer patient's tissue donation has helped develop a new way to combat an aggressive form of breast cancer. 9News

Ms Lascaris and four other patients donated their tissue samples to the Institute, to help find better ways of treating the disease. And those donations, combined with the latest genomic technology, have led to a breakthrough.Doing so, they have uncovered four new sub-types of stromal cells.

Once considered the passengers of disease, researchers have now found evidence that some of the cells were helping shield tumours from the immune system. "One of them looks like it may prevent immune cells getting into the tumour – so almost a gatekeeper," Associate Professor Swarbrick said. The discovery has paved the way to developing a new treatment specifically targeting those cells – though there's more work to be done in the lab."You don't want anybody to go through this if there's a chance they don't have to," Ms Lascaris said.

One million people out of work for first time: ABSMore than one million Australians are now unemployed with the official jobless measure breaking through the seven-figure mark for the first time on record. Society has to rethink the way they build their urban spaces. Just strengthen the rural economy at a lesser cost and the burden on the state and the Society would gradually come down. How many people are on Job Keeper? The real number without that support would surely double or triple the real rate. What? You haven't figured out how to blame Trump?
