Former Australian cricket captain Tim Paine, who resigned over a sexting scandal, is back in training with an aim to play for the Tasmanian Premier League.

"He's probably one of our most capped players ever so it would be cool to have him down there in any capacity," he said.

"He's obviously a really good captain, got a great cricket brain, so if he wants to play he's more than welcome, that's for sure."He had played 35 tests for Australia, taking 150 catches and seven stumpings as wicketkeeper.Paine resigned from the Australian captaincy in the wake of a sexting scandal involving a Cricket Tasmania employee.

Paine became captain of Australia after the ball-tampering controversy in South Africa in 2018 before leading Australia to retain the Ashes in England in 2019.The keeper last played a competitive match for Tasmania's 2nd XI in a game against a South Australian 2nd XI in November 2021, shortly after he resigned from the Australian captaincy.

Give it up you are tainted and not wanted 👎

What a wasted talent. Hope he can come back to Aussie colours. He took it when it was the lowest and thrown away by the CA when they don’t want to. Gratitude

Pence: ‘Unprecedented’ FBI raid calls for ‘unprecedented transparency’Former US vice president Mike Pence is now weighing in on the raid at the home of his former boss, Donald Trump. The former US president has ordered the release of the document that led to the FBI raiding his Mar-a-Lago estate, but a judge is yet to make a decision on what can be made public. Mr Pence slammed the FBI’s actions, claiming the “unprecedented action by the attorney general” and the FBI required “unprecedented transparency”. The word unprecedented seems to be used a lot regarding his former boss. Especially when he put a mob on him to hang him. He is also negotiating to testify before the Jan 6 committee Trump really needs to sort out his big lawyer problem. What Trump makes a lot of noise about isn't matched by what his lawyers are doing.
