So a throwback to the Pleistocene Era thinks Sally McManus is a throwback to the 1970s?

Smizzy777 When he says NO to his next pay increase someone might start listening to him. With an indexed salary, higher super contribution than the rest of us how dare he think this is an appropriate retort.

From the man who is a throwback from 1930s Germany

If she was a throwback to the 1970's she would have every Qld teacher on strike at the mere mention of what the Qld Education Dept is doing to unvaccinated teachers. She cares nothing for union members rights, just politics, waiting for a safe seat.

Back to the 70's? Good idea Dutton! Over award wages, job security, no gig economy, no FBT - so plenty of little perks for ordinary workers. Long service leave! No Centrelink! Affordable housing for low wage earners, beer at $5 or $6 a box - bring it on!

which one is Dutton?

I left Australia 7 years ago. Why? Cost of living absurd. Best move I ever made. Fast going down the toilet.

Anyone who lived and worked in the 70s knows all about inflation and 17.5% interest rates. Manufacturing left Australia because of Unions and high wages.

Not agreeing with Dutton. Wages are too low. Need to fix

How right you are Peter. However, as Labor are completely in the thrall of the Unions I have no doubt McManus will get her way in some measure.

Mr 17%

Dutton verbally abusing the credibility of Sally McManus who has more credability, intellect, knowledge & intelligence than Dutton would even understand the meaning of such words Dutton & the LNP are just making bigger fools of themselves now Embarrassing themselves!!

Whereas Dutton is a throwback to the 1930s when poor policy by conservative governments led to acute suffering by most Australians while the rich minority did very well auspol

Yeah, the 70s were well known for Union Women & Wages being boosted 🧐

Corbyn was called a throwback to 70s and yet the Tories have completely ruined the country. His policy to nationalise energy would have cost about 3.9 billion pounds and spared ppl the current horror. This is a stupid non-argument. Neolib policies have resulted in ppl in tents.

Poor old Pete, he's got nothing!

Whatever our future PM says is true. Unlike the twisted 32% nitwit temporarily in the Lodge.

All those against unions must give up all the benefits unions fought for. 40 hour weeks, gone. Weekends, gone. Sick leave, gone. You whine about unions yet enjoy everything they fought hard for

She certainly dresses like it.

Dutton OK with his own regular pay rises to a generous salary though

Meanwhile the likes of PeterDutton_MP, McManus and AlboMP are all conspiring together and against the Australian people to see the globalist agenda of Klaus Schwab and the New World Order established.

I just regard her as a throw back.

Hahaha.... Says the walking fossil

Dutton is a throwback to the thirties

Then there’s this….“Some people are trying it on,” he said. “Let’s be serious about this. There are people who have claimed that they’ve been raped and came to Australia to seek an abortion because they couldn’t get an abortion on Nauru. PeterDutton_MP 🚩

Actually it’s Dutton who is the throw back!!!! Let’s go Sally

Who’s the throwback? 🤡

A “throwback to the 1950s” says what?

Reckon sallymcmanus would be totally intimidated by the [now] unterführer. Ooh aah!

No irony there. That's all he and his finance stooge Taylor can say...ooh it will take us back to the 70's ( when LNP were in power for 70% of the decade ).

Says arch grub Dutton! A SCAB who has been awarded a pay rise every year of his entire taxpayer remunerated life. Including when as a shady qld copper who begrudged joining the qld pol union.

As if anyone cares what Mr 17% thinks.

Peter was born in 1970, he may not have had the same nurturing environment that many of us were fortunate to have. This may go a long way to explaining why he is what he is today. Poor Peter

Mr 17% still trying to be relevant!! Keep trying Pete! Winning 😆🤣

Says the man who would prefer the 50's and White Australia Policy again ... 🤮🤮🤮

Can we please throw Dutters back to the 70s so he can be less of a bloody nuisance in ‘the here and now’

He really should leave comedy to the comedians. Him protesting so much, only draws greater attention to the 15 yrs of Political dark age & damage, his LNP junta has brought on Australia, from Abbotts' destructive, undermining onwards.

That’s hilarious from a man who is a throw back to the 1950s.

Dutton17% says, blah blah blah, I guess there is a good reason he's at 17%

MurdochGutterMedia

Mr. 17% its not a good idea to argue against wage increases. Keep it up and you'll be Mr. 10% soon enough!

Ugh - a dinosaur. All ideas need to be discussed.

70’s not far enough back for Herr Obersturmfuhrer?

Dutton & his obsession with the union movement, he cannot say why he hates the union movement he knows he just does. He channels Bjelke Petersen at every opportunity.

Dutton should have been thrown back a long time ago

Lol shhhhhhhhhh MurdochRoyalCommission

The unelectable spud.

Lol Dutton and the lnp are a throwback to the 1700s -

You mean Mr 17%? who cares what he has to say he is so irrelevant and will be rolled before the next election. You lot just cannot help your conservative bias and yet you aren't at all embarrassed.

1975~6 was the worst drought since 1772 and it nearly financially ruined my farming family, yet I remember the 70s with some fondness as Gough Whitlam had made University education free, not just the preserve of the wealthy. It gave me opportunity & a rich, 42 year long career.

Hahaha Gutless Dutton. What's Scott Morrison got on Dutton that he would prefer to see the end to the Liberal Party rather than calling out the attempted coup. Corruption Corruption Corruption Nobody does it better. GutlessDutton CluelessSussssan TinPotScott

🤣🤣🤣 Spud said what 🤣🤣🤣

And because it fits your adversarial politics agenda it is deemed worthy of reporting. What absolute tripe.

Dutton is more scary and hateful than Voldemort… dutton a real life sinister and evil character.

And Dutton is a throwback to the dark ages

Fascist potato head!

Mr 17% irrelevance commenting on the adults talking. Best he gets in playing with his toys in the nursery

When will you Sky guys just fuck back of to McAmerica?

Honestly noone cares what Mr 17% thinks!

Why does Dutton keep making stupid statements, who is advising these cretins. Making themselves sound so selfish and uncaring. No wonder they enjoy 17% support.

Yes because he stands against the Australian workforce, not for them.

Sally's a tad more relevant than Mr 17% and for good reason.

My opinion is Dutton (Mr 17%) is a throwback to the nethanderals.

Dutton is a throw back. But Skynoos pushes forward backward ideas.

And no comment from Sally on the 'return to the thuggery of the 70's' by the CFMMEU in Brisbane yesterday? No I didn't think you had it in you!

Why don’t you run a story about his missing fucking eyebrows? No one knows where they have gone… no one is asking the real questions ThisisNotJournalism

'She' ?

The 50's angry at the 70's?

Better than being a throw back to 1930 fascist Italy. This account is comedy gold

Dutton is a Throw Back.

Still 20years ahead of the coalition of corruption

And Peter Dutton is a throwback to…to…to….Alexander Downer? 😂

17%

That’s about 160 million years less than where most of his fondest memories lie

Well done sallymcmanus 👍👍👍

As opposed to a throwback to the 1800's - Dutton and the LNP.

You can tell she has never run a business and wants millions of jobs to be slashed to balance the bottom line

Conservatives “We must go back to the past! Everything was better!” Also Conservatives “No, not those bits…”

17%

Dutton (Mr 17%) comes out of his hidey hole in an attempt to reclaim the Liberal leadership from the octogenarian Howard.

PeterDutton_MP is the fossil parliamentarian with the 1970s mindset. Narcissistic and misogynistic. He just hasn’t faced his failings yet.

And Peter Dutton is a man baby who won't go and you can't make him.

Is that really the best he can come up with? Long may he continue as so called leader of the Opposition.

Well the money will have to come from somewhere that means every thing will go up in price intrest rates will rise and every else

I thought that was a man 😟😟

Paying wages is so 20th century

I'm sure he has never taken over generous pay rises, superannuation that's a Rory and allowances that are beyond belief

I thought that the Liberals wanted to make Australia great again. They are throwbacks.

Dutton is a 'throwback' from the days of slavery, and if he had his way that's where we would be today.

Mr 17% making a big difference.

Peter Dutton is a throw back to the 1950s - so he must be jealous he missed out on the fun of the 70s.

It was sally that pushed the lnp to implement jobseekers. The lnp had no intention of helping people but then they saw an opportunity to funnel public funds to their mate

Party stuck in the 19th century worried that unions might be stuck in the 1970s

Do people actually realise that if wages go up, then so does goods n services 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️😎

.PeterDutton_MP still thinks he is living in the 70's. Back then you could get away with such comments and not be reprimanded for them. In 2022 it's a different story

The hair doo,,,gives it away

Says the Boofhead ex Qld copper who doesn’t want his past brought up.

As opposed to Dutton’s Victorian era approach?

It's been 30 years at least since Australia has been in worse hands.

83% of the country doesn't give a stuff what Mr 17% has to say.

Gee, how did the LNP lose government…

That's rich. Dutton calling ANYONE a throwback is 🤪

Sally's sneer is nicer than Spud's grimace. Just sayin.'

I don't think so! I worked in the industries in the 70's. Sally McManus, would have been eaten alive! Unless of course, she's tougher than she looks! 😎

More 'opposition grab' clickbait from NewsCorpse Mr 17% (aka Boofhead) is flailing as he has no platform. MurdochRoyalCommission MurdochGutterMedia

yes peter she is a throw back?

Man from the 50s recognizes the progressive nature of the union boss but guesses wrong by 50 years.

Mr 17% racing to 10% 🤪

Back When people could afford housing?

When Dutton’s to lazy to attended the Job Summit but wants to place negative comments just “Sit down boofhead”

You mean when real wages peaked, when we actually made stuff here, when education and health care was valued, and when people could afford housing? Yeah? Sounds like there is power in a union. 🚩 Bring on the 1970s again. AusPol

LOL and yet Mr 17% would happily accept a pay rise lnpneveragain

Agree PD👍🏻💜

Would he prefer to pay workers in kind like his The_Nationals NationalFarmers mates? That’s real 70s stuff..1870s!

Dutton should concentrate on his lagging approval rating...

Dutton your days are numbered and you know it. You are nothing but seat warmer

Liberals only care about big business Always have, always will

Industry-wide power grab by unions. A bid to get the dead hand of unions back into peoples’ pay packets. This is about unions restocking their ranks on the bended backs of working ppl they only purport to represent. I remember closed shop workplaces, nothing in it for workers.

Her hairstyle is certainly from the 1970's!

Dutton should avoid being a ‘roadblock’ on the ‘path to reconciliation’Sky News host Chris Kenny says Opposition Leader Peter Dutton should avoid being a “roadblock on the path to reconciliation” with his views on the Indigenous Voice to Parliament. He said Mr Dutton is keeping an “open mind” about the Voice to Parliament while former prime minister Tony Abbott “remains a strong opponent”. “There are legitimate considerations, and perhaps some compromises to be had,” Mr Kenny said. But he should be a roadblock on the path to apartheid. Isn't 'the Voice' going to be decided by a referendum? If so whatever Peter Dutton thinks or does is irrelevant. Kenny should try not being a tool for reconciliation

'Broken Coalition': Labor calls for Dutton to act on Morrison sagaOpposition Leader Peter Dutton is facing calls to act on his “backbencher” Scott Morrison following the release of the Solicitor-General’s legal advice on revelations the former prime minister appointed himself responsible to five portfolios. Dutton is neither here or there. He doesn’t know if he wants Voice for aborigines, he doesn’t know he wants nuclear and is sort of condemns Morrison but doesn’t do anything about. EachWayDutton Nah leave Morrison there and keep Dutton as leader. It's fabulous isn't it. Labor must mean like the leadership shown with Craig Thomson

Australia’s GP clinics are struggling. Here’s what we can learn from other countries on healthcare funding | Peter Breadon for the ConversationTo improve primary care access and affordability under Medicare we should look at what’s worked overseas .
